The Spring Lake girls basketball team finished strong and defeated Grand Rapids Catholic Central 33-31 on Friday in an O-K Blue Conference game.
The Lakers were led by Abbi Perkins with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Jenna Core added 
11 points, including a huge three-point basket late in the contest.
Spring Lake trailed 8-7 after the opening quarter, then led 20-13 at halftime. The Lakers trailed 27-22 through three quarters after a 14-2 GRCC run.
The Lakers closed out the scoring strong in the fourth frame with an 11-4 run.
