Girls hoops roundup: Spring Lake falls in nail-biter while Shores wins a nail-biter

The Spring Lake girls basketball team was unable to hold on to a late lead on Wednesday night in a 48-44 loss to Comstock Park.

With two minutes remaining, the Lakers held a six point lead but ultimately were outscored by 10 to finish the game.

Madeline Zenas paced the Lakers with 16 points and 14 rebounds while Jenna Core added 13 points and seven rebounds. Phoebe Saunders had nine assists on the night for Spring Lake.

MONA SHORES 30, KENOWA HILLS 27 – Mona Shores outscored Kenowa Hills 5-2 in overtime to pick up the victory on Wednesday.

Julia Tierman led the Sailors with 10 points and seven rebounds while Riley Rosenthal added six points and nine rebounds of her own.
