The Western Michigan Christian boys basketball team used a big run at the end of the first half on Tuesday as a springboard for a 62-42 non-league win over Zion Christian.

WMC led by seven after the first quarter, then the big run, in the final minute of the second quarter, extended the lead to 37-22 at halftime.

Tyler Somers led the team with 12 points and seven rebounds. Owen Varnado and Kellen Mitchell had 11 points apiece.

The Warriors (7-9) travel to Ludington on Friday for a  conference matchup.
