The Montague girls basketball team earned a West Michigan Conference win on Friday, defeating Ravenna 41-37.

The Wildcats were paced by Tianna Smith with 13 points.

The game was tied at halftime and Montague had a one-point advantage heading into the final stanza before closing the game with an 11-8 run.

The Bulldogs were led by Veera Hautala with nine points.

The Wildcats improved to 10-8 overall and 8-4 in conference.

WHITEHALL 56, SHELBY 35 – A 20-8 second quarter run propelled the Vikings to a West Michigan Conference win on Friday.

Kacy Jeffries led the Vikings with 16 points and six rebounds while Greta Hosticka added 13 points and six rebounds.

The Tigers were paced by Sharon Josephson with 12 points and seven rebounds while Lexi Schultz added 10 points.

Whitehall improved to 14-2 overall and 11-2 in conference play, while the Tigers dropped their record to 2-16 on the season and 1-12 in league action.

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 53, NORTH MUSKEGON 36- The Spartans opened the second half with a 14-0 run to pull away for a league win.

Mason County Central led 12-9 after the first quarter and 24-23 at halftime before expanding its lead to 38-23 heading into the final frame.

Rachel Allen paced the Spartans with 15 points, while Maddie Bladzik added 14 and Madisen Bennett had 13. Bennett also had 12 rebounds.

The Norse were led by Abby Grevel and Ellie Hayhurst with nine points apiece.

The Spartans are now 13-5 on the season and 10-4 in league play, while North Muskegon fell to 4-14 on the year and 1-12 in conference action.
