The Muskegon Catholic baseball team posted a 1-1 record on Friday in Vero Beach, Florida.

The Jayhawks fell to Hagerstown Community College 3-1 in the afternoon, then bounced back with a 9-2 win over Quebec during the evening.

Sean Casey pitched six innings for MCC in Game 1, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out eight batters and walking six. Jared Schwartz threw one inning of relief.

The Jayhawks were paced offensively in Game 2 by Nolan Perrin, Jake Conklin, Tanner Morren, Josh Hilliard and Shane Thompson with an RBI each.

Zack Northcutt pitched the win for MCC, tossing five innings while allowing two runs on three hits.

The Jayhawks are now 2-2 on the season after opening the season on Thursday with a two-game split.
