Two area girls basketball teams remain standing in the Michigan High School Athletic Association state tournament, and both will play in state quarterfinal games on Tuesday night.

In Division 1, Muskegon, 20-4 on the season, will face DeWitt, 23-2, at Kalamazoo Loy Norrix High School at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

In Division 4, Fruitport Calvary Christian, 20-5 on the season, will face Adrain Lenawee Christian, 23-2, at Richland Gull Lake High School at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Both teams won their regional tournaments last week, and a victory in the quarterfinals would send them to the state semifinals at Calvin College later this week.

Ludington, the last surviving boys team in the area, was eliminated on Friday in the Division 2 state semifinals.
