Rachel Ramont hit a leadoff home run in the top of the seventh inning on Tuesday, giving the Muskegon Community College softball team a 4-3 victory over Mid Michigan Community College in the second game of a doubleheader.
Ramont also had two doubles and scored two runs to lead MCC’s eight-hit attack. Pitcher Bri Breen got the win, giving up only five hits.
MCC lost the opener 6-2. The Jayhawks managed only five hits in the game, including one double and four singles.
The Jayhawks are now 5-11 on the season.
