Solid second quarter leads Hart girls basketball squad to district win over White Cloud

A 15-3 second quarter run propelled the Hart girls basketball team to a 49-39 win over White Cloud on Wednesday in a Division 3 district semifinal contest.

The Pirates trailed 16-15 after one quarter, but used a 15-3 run in the second to take the lead at 30-19 at the halftime break.

Hart led 35-29 heading into the final quarter before closing the game with a 14-10 run. 

Jayd Hovey led the Pirates with 15 points while Nicole Rockwell added 12. 

Hart will face Mason County Central on Friday at Hesperia High School in the district finals.
