Three local bowlers finished in the top 10 of their respective classes at various Michigan High School Athletic Association state bowling tournaments last weekend.
In the Division 2 girls individual state finals at Century Bowl in Waterford, Lindsay Cross of Mona Shores finished sixth overall with a six-game score of 1,194.
Alyssa Major of Oakridge finished eighth at the Division 3 finals at Northway Lanes in Muskegon with a score of 1,116. Josh Felcoski of Oakridge finished 10th in the Division 3 boys competition with a score of 1,186.
Karli VanDuinen of Reeths-Puffer finished 11th in the Division 2 girls competition and also won All-State honors.
In team competition, the Mona Shores girls lost to Charlotte 1,197-1,118 in the Division 2 state quarterfinals. The Oakridge boys lost to Corunna 1,180-1,104 in the Division 3 quarterfinals, and the Oakridge girls lost to Flat Rock 1,083-957 in the quarterfinals.
In Division 4, the Ravenna girls lost to East Jackson 1,070-915 in the quarterfinals.
Actually Joshua Felcoski finished in top 4, he qualified 10 but in brackets he moved up to top 4, where he lost in semifinal to the eventual champion
