The North Muskegon baseball team held on to defeat Ravenna 12-11 on Friday in West Michigan Conference play.

John Hayhurst paced the Norse with four hits and 4 RBIs, while Alec Cutter had a home run and three RBIs.

Ravenna scored five runs in the seventh inning to fall just short of a comeback.

Charlie Branch picked up his third win of the season on the mound for North Muskegon, striking out nine batters in four innings.

The Norse are now 8-4 overall on the season.

FRUITPORT 7-3, WHITEHALL 19-1- The Trojans split a non-league doubleheader on Friday.

David Ross led Fruitport offensively in Game 1 with three hits, while Luke Hronek and Jerod Arvey added two hits apiece.
