Sophia Mueller and Abby Grevel each scored three goals in the North Muskegon girls soccer team’s 10-0 victory over Montague on Friday in West Michigan Conference action.

Mueller also had three assists in her big night.

Other goal scorers for the Norse were Gwenna Pitts with two and Grace Vanderwoude and Kendal Hoppa with one apiece. Goalie Syann Fairfield collected the shutout.

SHELBY 1, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 0 – The Tiger defense shut down the Spartans in West Michigan Conference, limiting them to only a few shots on goal. Shelby’s Bri Kukla scored the lone goal in the first half, with the assist coming from Pam Perea.

WHITEHALL 8, RAVENNA 0 – The Vikings led 4-0 at half, then doubled that in the second half.

Leading the way was Rileigh Thommen with three goals to go with two assists. Maggie Evans added two goals. Emma Thompson, Camryn Evans and Kacy Jeffries rounded out the scoring with one apiece.

Goalkeeper Sadie Vanguilder earned the shutout for Whitehall, which improved to 3-1 and faces North Muskegon next Tuesday.

NON-CONFERENCE

FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 3, ORCHARD VIEW 1 – Orchard View took a 1-0 lead into halftime, only to see Fruitport Calvary score three unanswered goals in the second half.

Emily May scored the equalizer, with an assist by Cate Anhalt. Emily Wesner scored the second Eagle goal, followed by Alex Assaad on a penalty kick.

Fruitport Cavalry is now 4-1 on the season.

TRAVERSE CITY CENTRAL 1, LUDINGTON 0 – Ludington fell to 0-3-1 in the defeat. Lindsey Lovata had three saves in goal.
