Mona Shores pitcher Connor Vallie was dominant on Tuesday, striking out 10 in 6 1/3 innings to lead the Sailors to a 4-2 victory over Reeths-Puffer in the first game of an O-K Black Conference doubleheader.

Vallie gave up only three hits in the victory. Kolbe Trovinger and Tyler Campbell each drove in late runs for the Sailors while Reid McAvoy chipped in two hits.

The Sailors completed the sweep with an 11-0 five-inning victory. Trovinger paved the way at the plate with three hits and two RBIs and scored two runs. Jackson Neely hit the first home run of the season for the Sailors.

Mona Shores is now 11-2 overall and 9-0 in conference play.
