The Montague offense exploded on Monday in a double header sweep of Holton, winning 14-2 and 17-2.
In Game 1, Trey Mikkelsen pitched a complete game for Montague, striking out one, while giving up five hits, three walks and two runs. 
Mikkelsen also had two hits and two RBI’s on the offensive side of the ball.
Luke Marsh led Montague offensively with three doubles and four RBI’s in an impressive showing.
In game two, Corbin Berry pitched the second complete game of the day for Montague, allowing two runs on three hits while walking four and striking out two.
Marsh led the way with two hits and two RBI’s while Markell Owens contributed with a double and an RBI.
Collectively over the two games, Montague accumulated 26 hits and 26 RBI’s, with only one error.
The Wildcats improve to 6-2 overall, and remain 2-0 in conference.
HOLLAND CHRISTIAN 9, FRUITPORT 2 – Holland Christian jumped out to a 4-0 lead after four innings of play, until Fruitport was able to narrow the margin to 4-2 in the fifth.
Ultimately, Fruitport’s efforts fell short as Holland Christian added runs in the sixth and the seventh innings to take the 9-2 win.
Jerod Arvey had two hits to lead the Trojan offense while Aaron Aander reached base twice. Fruitport’s RBIs came from Chase Campbell and Nick Kleinhesksel.
