The Ravenna softball team won both games of its doubleheader, defeating Mason County Central 12-2 and 15-4 on Tuesday in West Michigan Conference action.

Makayla Hogan pitched the win in Game 1, striking out eight batters through five innings. Brieanna McFarren paced the Ravenna offense with two hits while Laney Mabrito, Zoe Spoelman and Shelby Piper each added one.

Hogan also recorded the win in the nightcap, striking out six. Karly Hanson led the Bulldgs with three hits while Mabrito and Lauren Odren each had two.

OAKRIDGE 17-11, WHITEHALL 1-1- The Eagles had a solid night offensively which led to a doubleheader sweep in West Michigan Conference action.

In Game 1, Kayla Fessenden picked up the win on the mound, striking out three batters through four innings.

Hayden Ruel led the Oakridge offense with three hits and three RBIs while Brooklyn Galdeen followed with two hits and two RBIs and both Jasmine Pastor and Fessenden each added three hits.

In the nightcap, pitcher Brie Pastor picked up the win.

Brie Pastor also led the team offensively with three hits and three RBI’s while Delaney Ruel and Galdeen recorded two hits each.

The Eagles are 2-0 overall on the season.

JENISON 10-11, FRUITPORT 0-3- The Fruitport softball team had a rough night Tuesday, losing
an O-K Black Conference doubleheader. Rachel Paulson recorded a two-run home
run in Game 2 for the Trojans.

MONTAGUE 11-17, HART 5-0- The Pirates dropped both games of their doubleheader on Tuesday in West Michigan Conference play.

Nicole Rockwell suffered the loss in Game 1 on the mound and recorded a double and knocked in two runs offensively. Skylar Smith led Hart with three hits. Myryssa Hopkins blasted her first career home run.

In Game 2, the Pirates failed to record a hit and Finley Kistler suffered the loss.
