The Hart softball team won the Bear Lake Invitational after defeating Bear Lake/Pentwater 14-7 and Marion 13-7 in the championship game.

In the title game, Skylar Smith hit a grand slam home run and led the offense going 3-for-4 at the plate. Cassidy Copenhaver and Finley Kistler each added two hits for the Pirates.

MONA SHORES 9-5, EAST KENTWOOD 5-6 – The Mona Shores softball team split its doubleheader with East Kentwood on Saturday.

In Game 1, Maddie Van Etten picked up the win for Mona Shores (4-4) while striking out 14 batters. On offense, Shelby Savacool led the Sailors with three this while Erika Dakin had three hits including a two run home run.

In Game 2, Zoir Willeke led Mona Shores with three hits including a three run home run while Dakin and Jessica Witham each had two hits.  

BENZIE 7-11, LUDINGTON 3-6 – The Ludington softball team dropped to 1-5 overall after two losses on Saturday.

In Game 1, Taylor Makowicki had one hit and a RBI for Ludington while Jaina Nehm added one hit and two RBIs.

Olivia VerStrat had a triple and an RBI to lead the Orioles in Game 2 while Mackenzie Howe had a double and an RBI.
