The Oakridge baseball team took home the St. Johns Invitational championship on Saturday after defeating Northwest Jackson 15-0 and St. Johns 11-1.

In the victory over Northwest Jackson, Koleman Wall threw a no-hitter while also striking out 10 in the victory. Wall also had a strong day at the plate, going 3-3 with two RBIs.

Eagles who finished with two hits in Game 1 were Blake Masterman, Kolbe Stewart, TJ Ruel and Dylan Coffman.

In Game 2, TJ Ruel picked up the victory on the mound while striking out eight and allowing only four hits.

Austin Fairchild, Mason Wever and Adam Meyers all scored two runs while Wever added two RBIs.

SPRING LAKE FALLS IN COLDWATER CHAMPIONSHIP – Spring Lake defeated Three Rivers 6-5 and Traverse City Central 5-1 in pool play before falling 9-0 to Mattawan in the championship game at the Coldwater Tournament.

Zach Keyser led the Lakers against Three Rivers with one hit, one RBI and one run scored while Lucas Lyyski led Spring Lake in the Traverse City Central game with a double and three RBIs.

In the title game, Lyyski, Zach Foster and Thomas Tabor all had one hit.

GRAND HAVEN 3, MONA SHORES 2 — The Mona Shores baseball team fell 3-2 to Grand Haven in extra innings on Saturday after an eighth inning home run from.

Heath Cory led the Sailor (4-2, 3-0) offense with a two run double in the fourth inning which tied the game at 2-2.

Drew Moss went 3-3 at the plate for Mona Shores while also scoring a run on the Cory double.
