The West Michigan Whitecaps snapped a five game losing streak with a 4-3 walk-off win over Bowling Green on Tuesday.

With the score tied at 3-3 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Daniel Reyes hit a single off of the second base bag which ultimately scored Wenceel Perez, giving the Whitecaps a 4-3 walk-off victory.

After falling behind 2-0 in the second inning, Jordan Pearce tripled home Sam McMillan to cut the Whitecaps deficit to 2-1.

Bowling Green the scored a run in the fourth inning to make the score 3-1 in their favor.

In the fifth inning, McMillan scored on a Wenceel Perez walk to make the score 3-2.

In the sixth inning, the Whitecaps tied the score at 3-3 when Reynaldo Rivera singled home Reyes.

Reyes and Pearce each had two hits to lead the Whitecaps while reliever Robbie Welhaf picked up the victory, pitching a clean ninth inning with two strikeouts.

With the victory, the Whitecaps improve to 18-26 on the season and remain 10 games behind Great Lakes for first place in the Midwest League Eastern Division.

Bowling Green and West Michigan will continue their series on Wednesday with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m.
