The Muskegon Catholic girls soccer team defeated Holland Black River on Friday 2-1 in a non-league game.

The Crusaders overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit for a non-league win on Friday.

Erin Lavigne scored five minutes into the second half to tie the game 1-1 before Roni McCann notched the game-winner with five minutes remaining.

Payton Helton recorded the assist on the final goal while goalkeeper Hannah Ladd picked up the win in net for Catholic.

The Crusaders are now 5-4-1 on the season.

HUDSONVILLE 2, REETHS-PUFFER 0 – Trailing by two goals at the half, the Reeths Puffer girls soccer team couldn’t bounce back.

Despite many scoring opportunities, the Rockets couldn’t find the back of the net.

Goalkeeper Olivia Alvesteffer had four saves in goal for the Rockets.

Reeths Puffer fell to 6-5 overall on the season.

ORCHARD VIEW 5, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 0- Lilyan Pastor and Haylee Martin opened the scoring with a pair of unassisted goals.

Kyah McGruther recorded the last three goals of the match to complete the hat trick with Kylee Carmean and Mallory Pant each recording an assist.

The Cardinals outshot Mason County Central by a 23-2 margin on the night.

SPARTA 3, RAVENNA 0- Sidney Marsman recorded 14 saves in net for the Bulldogs.

Ravenna falls to 8-5-1 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

SPRING LAKE 1, CALEDONIA 0 – Meah Bajt scored the lone goal in her varsity debut for the Lakers.

Spring Lake goalkeeper Kamryn Lewkowski posted another shutout in net.

Thursday’s game

MONA SHORES 1, NORTH MUSKEGON 0- There was not much offense in this non-league contest, as each team was only able to get three shots on goal for the entire game.

A penalty kick from Bri Wade in the second half proved to be the difference as the Sailors hung on for the win.

The Sailors moved to 8-2-3 overall on the season.
