The Mona Shores baseball squad cruised to a 14-1 win over Grand Rapids Union in an O-K Black Conference clash on Friday.

The Sailors were paced offensively by Aaron Piasecki with two hits and three RBIs, while Cam Sobish, Brady Rose and Jackson Neely each added two hits apiece.

Freshman Diego Pena hit his first career home run with a three-run blast during the second inning.

Connor Vallie pitched the victory for Mona Shores, striking out all six batters he faced.

The Sailors are now 13-4 overall on the season and 10-0 in O-K Black Conference play.

WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 6, RAVENNA 3- Ben Garretson picked up the win on the mound for the Warriors, striking out five batters through five innings.

Nick Moser led WMC’s offense with three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Jameson Goorman recorded two hits while Garretson had a two-run single.

Brant Zeerip pitched the save for the Warriors, who improved to 5-1 on the season.

HESPERIA 5-8, WHITE CLOUD 7-2 – The Panthers split their twin bill on Friday night.

In the opener, Logan Balkema suffered the loss on the mound, striking out seven batters.

Balkema led the Panther offense with two hits while Jacob Klemundt recorded a triple.

Pitcher Hunter Dickinson picked up the win in game two, striking out eight hitters.

Hunter Dickinson, Kolby Dickinson, Klemundt and Logan Pearson each had two hits on the win.

The Panthers are now 2-7 overall on the season.

HOLTON 2-6, MORLEY STANWOOD 6-4 – The Red Devils split their doubleheader on Friday night.

Pitcher Aiden Poling recorded the loss in Game 1 while multiple batters recorded a hit for Holton.

In the nightcap, Nathan Slowik pitched the win, striking out two
batters through six innings.

Cody Wright recorded the save while Chip Wright led the team with a single and two RBIs and Kaleb Kitchka had a single and two runs scored.

Holton is now 10-7 overall and 7-2 in conference play.

SPRING LAKE 2-5, WEST CATHOLIC 1-0 –In the opener, Isiah Lindsey got the win as pitcher, striking out
batters five through seven innings.

Pierce Glore had two hits and a run scored while Kenyon Bolling added two hits. Grant VanSingel finished with a hit and an RBI in Game 1.

In Game 2, Zach Foster tossed the win from the mound, pitching
five innings and striking out four hitters.

VanSingel led the team with three hits, a run scored and an RBI. Aaron Waugh added a hit and an RBI while Zach Keyser and Lucas Lyyski each had a hit for the Lakers.
