Ludington girls soccer team wins a Div. 3 district title, defeats Big Rapids 3-1

The Ludington girls soccer team captured a Division 3 district title after defeating Big Rapids 3-1 on Thursday.

The game was scoreless at halftime.

Hailey Stowe led the Orioles with a goal and an assist while Evelyn Pearson and Aubrey Pomorski added a goal. Eleah Billings and Sophia Cooney each notched an assist.

Ludington goalkeeper Lindsey Lovato stopped six shots.

The Orioles, who are now 11-9-1 on the season, will play the winner of Remus Chippewa Hills or Freeland on Tuesday in the regional semifinals at Clare High School.
