The Muskegon Heights Academy football program will have its most successful alumnus in town on May 18.

Baltimore Ravens standout receiver Willie Snead is hosting a free youth football camp at Phillips Field at Muskegon Heights High School.

The free camp, for boys and girls ages 10-17,  will be from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Campers will participate in drills and instruction and receive food, prizes, T-shirts and other giveaways.

Snead was the star quarterback of the 2009 Muskegon Heights football team that reached the Division 5 state semifinals. The 2009 team was the winningest team in Muskegon Heights football history.

The wide receiver is entering his fifth season in the NFL. In 2018, Snead played in 16 games for the Ravens and had 651 yards receiving with one touchdown on 62 receptions. He currently has 2,622 total receiving yards in his career and eight TDs.
