Thursday softball roundup: Mona Shores and Pentwater win pre-district games

The Mona Shores softball squad closed out its regular season with a 6-4 win over Whitehall on Thursday.

Lauren Patterson won her 38th career game from the mound, striking out nine batters and allowing only three hits.

The Sailors were paced by Zoie Willeke with three hits while Elizabeth Savacool added three hits and three RBIs.

Mona Shores is now 17-15 on the season heading into district play.

PENTWATER 15, BIG RAPIDS CROSSROADS 4- Mikaylyn Kenney struck out 11 batters in five innings while giving up just one hit.
