The Holton baseball team edged Kent City in their doubleheader Tuesday night 9-8 and 10-7 in a sweep.

The Red Devils were down by three runs in the bottom of the seventh, and came back on an RBI double by Broc Brown, a two-run hit from Drew Trygstad and a game-winning hit by Rice Robin.

Cody Wright got the win on the mound for Holton in Game 1.

In the nightcap, Trygstad pitched the win while Aiden Poling recorded the save.

Holton scored three runs during the sixth inning which made the difference in the game.

Nathan Slowik finished 7-for-7 on the night for the Red Devils with four RBIs.

Austin Fowler recorded four hits and four RBIs through both games for Holton.

FRUITPORT 17-18, MUSKEGON 1-2- In the opener, Trojan pitcher Brodie Boes struck out five batters through three innings, earning the win.

Luke Mitchell led the Fruitport offense with three hits while Luke Hronek contributed two hits.

In the nightcap, Mitchell got the win in the mound.

Hronek had two hits and three RBIs while Chase Campbell had three RBIs.

MORLEY STANWOOD 11-14, HESPERIA 0-4– In the opener, Logan Balkema suffered the loss on the mound.

Balkema, Jacob Klemundt, Hunter Billman and Logan Pierson each had a hit for the Panthers.

In the nightcap, Klemundt had three hits for the Panthers.

Hesperia fell to 5-14 overall and 4-11 in the CSAA Silver.

HART 11, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 10 – The Pirates won in walk-off fashion on an RBI hit from
Matthew Robbins that scored teammate Braeden Carskadon in the seventh inning.

Robbins led the team offensively, recording three hits, which included a homerun.

Alec Kempker recorded two hits and two RBIs for the Pirates and pitcher Leo McCulley recorded the win from the mound.
