The Mona Shores baseball team picked up a grueling 2-1 road victory over Oakridge on Wednesday night.

Brady Rose picked up the win, pitching in relief and striking out four over four clean innings of work.

Oakridge took a 1-0 lead when Koleman Wall doubled home Jalen Hughes.

Reid McAvoy had a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at 1-1 for Mona Shores before Jackson Neely scored on a wild pitch to take a 2-1 lead.

Wall finished with three hits while Fairchild had two hits.

With the win, Mona Shores improves to 22-7 overall and remains 13-3 in OK-Black conference play.

REETHS-PUFFER 6, GRAND RAPIDS UNION 2 – Reeths-Puffer picked up a 6-2 OK-Black conference win over Grand Rapids Union on Wednesday evening.

Matt Jensen surrendered one run over five innings while also striking out five in the victory.

Kaden Edwards picked up the save, pitching a clean two innings and striking out three.

Carson Aerts and Cameron Douglas led the Rocket offense with two hits each while Kobe Schalk reached base twice and scored twice.

HART 6-16, BEAR LAKE 1-1 – Matthew Robbins picked up the victory in Game 1, tossing six innings and allowing only two hits while striking out nine batters.

Offensively, Jayden VanderZwaag had to hits and Alec Kempker had two RBIs.

In Game 2, the Pirates scored 16 runs on 12 hits while Rece Schlukebir threw a shortened game no-hitter. Schlukebir also struck out nine batters while surrendering one unearned run on no hits.

The Pirate offense had four home runs in the game coming off the bats of Seth Andritsis, Braeden Carskadon, Matthew Robbins and Kempker.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 10, SHELBY 9 – Muskegon Catholic responded from a 9-0 Shelby first inning lead to win.

Muskegon Catholic scored three in the first, one in the third, four in the fifth and two in the seventh for the victory.

Carson Blei picked up the win for the Crusaders, allowing no runs on two hits and striking out 10 over six innings.

Carson St. Amour led the offense with four hits while Max Price added three hits and two RBIs. Nolan Covertini added two doubles and three RBIs.
