The Mona Shores baseball team set a school record on Wednesday with a 1-0 non-conference victory over Caledonia.

The shutout is the 10thof the season for Mona Shores and sets a new school record for most shutouts in one season.

Pitcher Heath Cory struck out four batters and allowed five hits over five innings in the victory. Conner Vallie recorded the final six outs for Mona Shores in the victory.

Brady Rose led the offense with two hits and the lone RBI. Rose drove home Grant Hylland on a single for the only run in the game.

With the victory, Mona Shores improves to 26-7 overall.

PENTWATER 12-14, MANISTEE CATHOLIC 2-2 – The Pentwater offense showcased its ability on Wednesday as Pentwater improved to 16-6 overall and 14-2 in conference play.

In Game 1, Glenn Miller led the offense with two hits and three runs, Austin Hofmann added two hits and three RBIs and Max Stonemann added two hits and two RUNS.

In Game 2, Jacob Veine led Pentwater with three hits, three runs and two RBIs while Miller had two hits and three runs. Hofmann added two hits, two runs and two RBis.
