The Hesperia softball team splits its doubleheader with North Muskegon on Wednesday winning 9-7 and falling 9-3.

Lynnsey Tinkham picked up the win in Game 1 for Hesperia while also pacing the offense with two hits including a double and one RBI.

Natalie McGahen and Becci Castillo each had two hits for the Panthers in the victory.

In Game 2, Alyssa Miller had one hit and two RBIs to lead the Panthers. Emily Bayle added one hit and one RBI of her own.

PENTWATER 15-27, MANISTEE CATHOLIC 0-7 – The Pentwater softball team exploded on Wednesday in a doubleheader sweep of Manistee Catholic.

In Game 1, Mikaylyn Kenney struck out 10 and allowed one hit on the mound for Pentwater.

Makaylah Cornelisse led the Falcons offense with two hits.

In the nightcap, Kenney had four hits including a double and a home run while also picking up six RBIs to lead the offense.

Emma Oliphant and Cienna Ruggles each had three singles for Pentwater.

With the two victories, Pentwater improves to 17-6-1 overall and 12-4 in conference play.
