The West Michigan Whitecaps held Peoria to only three hits on Monday in a 2-0 home victory.

The lone scored runs in the game were from a Ulrich Bojarski two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The Whitecaps had only four hits on the night with John Valente leading the way with two of the four hits.

Whitecaps starter Garrett Hill picked up the win, allowing only one hit and striking out six over seven innings of work.

Reliever Angel De Jesus picked up his second save of the season, allowing two hits and striking out four over the final two innings.

With the win, the Whitecaps are now 14-15 on the season and three and a half games behind Great Lakes in the Midwest League Eastern Division.

The Whiteaps will continue their series against Peoria on Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
