The Mona Shores’ baseball team’s outstanding season came to an end on Sunday with an 8-1 loss to Grand Haven in the Division 1 district semifinals.

Grand Haven pitcher Owen Krizan was the biggest problem for the Sailors. He allowed only one hit, a bunt single to Brady Rose to open the game, and struck out seven.

Mona Shores threatened in the third and fourth innings but was only able to push across one run.

The Sailors finished the season with a 28-8 overall record and a 15-3 mark in the O-K Black Conference.
