The Muskegon Clippers bounced back with a 3-1 win over the Grand Lake Mariners on Saturday night on the road.

The Clippers are now 18-17 on the season and will look to take the three-game series against the Mariners on Sunday with a win before heading into the all-star break. First pitch is slated for 4:05 p.m.

Muskegon scored a run in the first, second and eighth inning to take a 3-0 lead before the Mariners closed out the scoring with a tally in the ninth.

Tre Morris and Jimmy Allen led with two hits apiece for the Clippers, while Austin Eifrid added a single hit.

Morris, Jimmy Allen and Eifrid each had an RBI for Muskegon.

Brady Miller pitched the win for the Clippers, tossing seven scoreless innings while allowing two hits and striking out seven batters. Jacob Gilhaus pitched a two-inning save.
