The West Michigan Whitecaps went 1-2 in a series at Lake County between Saturday night and Monday night.

On Saturday, the Whitecaps lost 6-4 before responding with a 6-5 win on Sunday. On Monday, the Whitecaps fell behind early and lost 13-6.

In the loss on Saturday, John Valente led the Whitecaps with three this and one RBI while Bryant Packard reached base three times.

On Sunday, Andre Lipcius led the Whitecaps with two hits and two RBIs in the victory while Packard had one hit and two RBIs.

On Monday, the Whitecaps surrendered six runs in the first inning to fall behind early.

Zach Malis had three hits and two RBIs to lead the Whitecaps effort while Dayton Dugas also added two RBIs.

The Whitecaps are now 38-81 overall on the season and 17-33 in the second half, 13 games behind Great Lakes and Bowling Green for first place in the Midwest League Eastern Division second half standings.

On Wednesday, the Whitecaps will return home to begin a three-game series with Great Lakes with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
