The Muskegon Community College volleyball team opened the season by posting a pair of victories on Friday at 
the McHenry College Invitational in Rockford, Illinois.
The Jayhawks downed Madison Community College 3-0 with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-17. They also swept Morton College with set scores of 27-25, 25-23, 25-11.
Leaders for MCC were Amber Jacobs (19 kills), Megan Crowley (72 assists, 15 digs), Jaren Smith (3 service aces), and Jordyn Carlyle (7 blocks).
The Jayhawks will play two more matches in the tournament on Saturday.
