The West Michigan Whitecaps dropped the first game of a three-game series with Great Lakes on Wednesday 4-3 before winning 5-1 on Thursday and 6-3 on Friday.

Parker Meadows led the Whitecaps in the loss on Wednesday with two hits and one RBI while Wenceel Perez had one hit and one RBI.

In the 5-1 win on Thursday, starter Adam Wolf picked up the victory on the mound, allowing one earned run on four hits and striking out four.

Offensively, Jack Kenley had one hit and two RBIs to lead the Whitecaps.

On Friday, Corey Joyce paced the Whitecaps offense with three hits and a run scored while Bryant Packard, Andre Lipcius and Meadows all had two hits.

The Whitecaps are now 40-82 overall on the season and 19-34 in the second half, 13 games behind Bowling Green for first place in the Midwest League Eastern Division second half standings.

The Whitecaps will continue their homestand on Saturday when they open up a three game series with Lake County at 7:05 p.m.
