So you prefer your high school football on the traditional Friday nights?

Well there will apparently be plenty of games on Friday, after all, although most of them will be continuations of games started and postponed on Thursday.

A storm rolling through West Michigan on Thursday evening brought varying degrees of rain in different areas, but a steady pattern of lighting. According to Michigan High School Athletic Association rules, the sight of lightning forces a 30-minute postponement.

Numerous games in the area were postponed several times before they were called for the night, and scheduled to finish tomorrow.

Ludington at Fremont was postponed with Ludington leading 7-0 and will continue tomorrow at 4 p.m. Oakridge led Belding 14-0 on the road, and will finish Friday at 7 p.m. Grant led Shelby 14-6 in the second quarter. That game will finish Friday at 6 p.m.

Forest Hills Eastern at Fruitport was postponed with FH Eastern leading 20-18. The game will resume Friday at 6 p.m. Muskegon Heights led Potterville in a road game 20-8 in the third quarter. The game will be resumed Friday at 1 p.m. Whitehall led host Parma Western 14-7 and will finish Friday at 11 a.m.
