Thursday prep soccer: Fruitport Calvary remains unbeaten, Spring Lake gets a win

The Fruitport Calvary Christian soccer team improved to 4-0 on the season with an impressive 7-0 shutout of Saugatuck on Thursday.

Ethan Pollack led the scoring parade with three goals, Ben Zelenka added two while Zach Hazekamp and Tyler Brown added one apiece.

Luke Assaad, Jacob Schuitema, Nick Ritsema and Royce Freiburger played a strong game defensively for the Eagles, only allowing three shots on goal. Goalkeeper Jose Wetzig collected the shutout.

SPRING LAKE 5, COMSTOCK PARK 2 – Malachi Mulder scored two goals on Thursday, leading the Spring Lake soccer team to a 5-2 victory over Comstock Park in an O-K Blue conference game.

Ben Bush, Gavin DeVowe, and Keegan Fritsche also scored for Spring Lake.

LUDINGTON 0 BIG RAPIDS 0 – Thursday’s game ended at halftime due to a two-hour weather delay. Ludington had six shots on goal while Big Rapids had none.

Ludington is now 1-6-2 on the season.
