The Reeths-Puffer boys soccer team went 2-0 on Saturday in their home Lakeshore Invitational, defeating Ludington 2-1 and Shelby 3-1.

In the Ludington victory, Andrew Storck and Jaxon Carpenter each netted goals while DeMario Chapman made four saves.

In the second victory, Reeths-Puffer outshot Shelby 21-5 with Tanner O’Neal, Thade Redosa and Carpenter each scoring. Chapman had four saves in the victory.

The Rockets are now 2-0 on the season.

Fruitport goes 2-0 at Lakeshore Invitational – The Fruitport boys soccer team opened up the season defeating Shelby 5-0 and Ludington 4-1.

In the Shelby victory, Bryce Lanore, Carter Golden, Ryan Laus, Kaleb Krueger and Logan Manciu all scored goals for the Trojans while Justin Laus posted a shutout with 10 saves. Manciu also had two assists in the victory.

In the second game, Christian Swiatek started the scoring for Fruitport off an assist from Golden.

Ludington scored in the early second half to tie the game at 1-1 before Lanore, Ryan Laus and Manciu all scored to give Fruitport a 4-1 victory. Lanore also assisted on the Ryan Laus goal to pick up an assist.

Justin Laus had 13 saves for the Trojans in the victory.

Fruitport is now 2-0 on the season and will take on Fremont on Friday at home with game time scheduled for 6:45 p.m.

North Muskegon Goes 1-0-1 at Portage Central Invite – North Muskegon defeated Sturgis 4-1 before tying Kalamazoo Loy Norrix 2-2.

In the Norse win, Dylan Schultz scored three goals while Trevor Schultz added a goal and an assist. Brody Hoffman had two assists for the Norse while Evan Zubryd has one assist and Jake Hoffer made five saves in net.

In the tie, Hunter Koekkoek and Hoffman each had a goal.

Western Michigan Christian Goes 1-1 The Western Michigan Christian soccer team lost 3-0 to Holland Christian before defeating Kalamazoo Christian 3-0.

In the loss, the Warriors fell behind 2-0 in te first half before giving up a goal in the second half which ultimately made the final score 3-0.

In Game 2, the Warriors got goals from Brandon Fles, Charlie Alfree and Michael Masumpa. Fles, Brandon Eenigenburg and Michael Tencate all has assists while Jamison Goorman picked up the shutout victory in net.
