The West Michigan Whitecaps went 1-3 in their four game series at Fort Wayne, losing 7-4 on Saturday, 8-0 on Sunday and 9-3 on Monday  before winning 8-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

In the loss on Saturday, Andre Lipcius led the Whitecaps offense with two hits and two RBIs including a double.

On Sunday, the Whitecaps were limited to Daniel Reyes had the lone Whitecaps hit in the game.

In the loss on Monday, Ulrich Bojarski had two hits to lead the Whitecaps offense while Wenceel Perez had two RBIs.

In the 8-0 victory on Tuesday, the Whitecaps jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one inning before adding a run in the second and a run in the sixth to make the score 6-0.

Two insurance runs in the eighth inning make the final score 8-0 in favor of the Whitecaps.

Bojarski and Zach Malis each had three hits to lead the offensive attack while Reyes had four RBIs.

The Whitecaps are now 36-77 overall on the season and 15-29 in the second half, 11 games behind Bowling Green for first piace in the Midwest League Eastern Division second half standings.

The Whitecaps will host Bowling Green on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. for the first game of a three game series.
