The Ludington football team rolled past visiting Hesperia Friday night 55-24 in a non-conference matchup.

Orioles quarterback Riley Calhoun was superb through the air, completing 9 of 10 passes for 215 yards on the night. Calhoun also had 49 yards on the ground while adding one rushing touchdown.

Ludington’s Drew Arce led the receivers with 70 yards receiving and one touchdown while Jake Plamondon followed with 65 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Both Skylar Gerber and Parker Lacombe added a touchdown reception in the win.

Blake Benson led the Ludington ground game with 65 yards rushing on five carries with a touchdown. The Oriole defense was led Tyson Beetz, Levi Laman, and Lacombe with five tackles apiece.

Logan Balkema led Hesperia with two touchdowns. Running back Logan Pearson recorded a touchdown and AJ Perysian ran a kickoff all the way back for a score.

Ludington improves to 2-0 after the win and Hesperia falls to 0-2. The Orioles travel to Manistee next week while Hesperia will travel to Holton.
