The Muskegon Lumberjacks left Pittsburgh and the USHL Fall Classic still looking for their first win of the season.

The Lumberjacks fell to the Lincoln Stars 4-2 on Friday at the UPMC: FedEx Rink.

Muskegon is now 0-2 on the season and will continue its road swing next Friday against the Youngstown Phantoms. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EST.

The Lumberjacks opened the scoring at the 10:04 mark of the first period on a power play goal from Luke Mobley. Nash Nienhuis and Zack Malik assisted on the tally.

The Stars tied the game 1-1 with a Matthew Barbolini goal at the 16:44 mark of the first period.

The game was tied 1-1 at the end of the first period and the score remained throughout the second period.

The Stars scored goals from Josh Groll (3:38) and Josh Lopina (5:03) to take a 3-1 lead.

Muskegon cut its deficit to 3-2 at the 14:22 mark of the third period on a goal by Oliver MacDonald.

Lincoln closed out the scoring on a tally from Travis Treloar 15:27 into the third period.

The Stars outshot Muskegon by a 27-19 margin.

Noah Giesbrecht stopped 23-of-27 shots for the Lumberjacks in net.
