Monday soccer roundup: North Muskegon, Shelby and Fremont cruise to victories

The North Muskegon boys soccer team defeated Oakridge 4-0 on Monday to improve their record to 6-5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Hudson Yaussy led the Norse with two goals while Hudson Richards added one goal and two assists.

Dylan Schultz also had a goal for North Muskegon and Brody Hoffman picked up two assists while Jake Hoffer picked up his third shutout of the season, stopping all three shots he faced.

SHELBY 8, MONTAGUE 0 – Layton Jennings led the Tigers with four goals in the victory while Diego Gonzalez added five assists.

FREMONT 8, CHIPPEWA HILLS 0 – The Fremont soccer team defended home field on Monday, with a dominating conference victory.

Grant Vissia scored two goals for the Packers while Carter Moon, David Wachter, Joe Kortge, Braiden McDonald, Wyatt VanBoven and Jaxx Miller all had one goal.

Kasidy Wright led Fremont with two assists while Lane Converse, Isaiah Hansen and Wachter all had one assists.

Goalkeeperers Kortge and Ed Hallberg combined for the shutout, improving Fremont to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
