The Muskegon Catholic Central football team fell to 1-1 on the season after a 42-22 loss on the road to Pontiac Notre Dame Prep on Friday.

Carson St. Amour gave the Crusaders a 3-0 lead in the first quarter with a 23-yard field goal.

Notre Dame Prep took a 7-3 lead with a little over a minute left in the first. The home team scored again with 9:46 left in the second quarter to take a 14-3 lead.

MCC quarterback Max Price connected with Nolan Convertini for a 42-yard passing touchdown with 7:58 left in the half to cut the Crusader deficit to 14-10.

Notre Dame scored again with 4:48 left in the half to extend its lead to 21-10 at halftime.

Notre Dame led 28-10 in the third quarter when Price threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to St. Amour, making the score 28-16.

Notre Dame scored one last time in the third quarter to take a 35-16 lead into the fourth quarter.

Tommy Kartes punched in a four-yard rushing touchdown for the Crusaders in the fourth.

Price completed 13 of 28 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the MCC rushing attack with 54 yards. Convertini had four catches for 85 yards and one touchdown.

Kartes led the Crusader defense with 12 tackles on the night.

Muskegon Catholic will next host Orchard View next Friday to open up Lakes 8 play.
