The Spring Lake football team struggled in its O-K Blue conference opener on Friday night. The Lakers fell 38-3 on the road against Sparta.
Spring Lake fell behind 12-0 before Matt Bierman connected on a field goal for the Lakers’ first points.
Sparta scored the final 26 points of the game, including a pair of defensive scores.
Spring Lake falls to 1-2 and will take on Coopersville (0-3) next week.
