The Spring Lake football team picked up their second win of the season on Friday with a 34-0 victory over Coopersville in a O-K Blue Conference road game.

Steve Ready got the Lakers on the board in the first with 5:30 remaining in the quarter, punching in a nine-yard touchdown run, giving Spring Lake a 7-0 lead.

Late in the second quarter, Christian Folkert punched in a two-yard run to give the Lakers a 14-0 halftime lead.

To begin the third quarter, Ready broke loose for a 79-yard touchdown run to extend the Spring Lake lead to 21-0.

Later in the quarter, Dayton Holmes scored on a 9-yard run to give the Lakers a 28-0 lead after three quarters of play.

The final Spring Lake touchdown came from Zach Mitchell on a one-yard touchdown run only a minute into the fourth quarter.

Spring Lake is now 2-2 on the season overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Lakers will host Comstock Park next Friday in an O-K Blue Conference matchup.
