The Fremont boys soccer team overcame an early deficit and defeated Ludington in a non-league game on Tuesday night.

The Orioles opened the scoring on a goal by Bradley Paul that was assisted from Brayden Porter.

Fremont responded with a goals from Carter Moon and Lane Converse. Kasiday Wright and David Wachter each notched an assist for the Packers.

Joe Kortge stopped nine shots for Fremont in net as the Orioles had a 10-5 shots advantage.

The Packers improved to 3-2 on the season while Ludington drops its overall record to 1-7-2.

SPRING LAKE 3, GRAND RAPIDS CATHOLIC CENTRAL 1 – The Lakers were led by Malachi Mulder with two goals while Keegan Fritsche added one.

GRAND RAPIDS UNION 7, FRUITPORT 1 – The Red Hawks were able to gain a large first half advantage, leading 4-0 at halftime.

Grand Rapids Union added three more goals in the second half, but the Trojans were able to grab a late consolation goal in the second half scored by Zak Wessel that was assisted by Kaleb Krueger.

Justin Laus stopped 14 shots in goal for Fruitport, which is now 3-3 overall on the season and 0-2 in conference play.

The Trojans will face Reeths-Puffer on Thursday in their next game.

GRAND HAVEN 1, CALEDONIA 1- The Buccaneers rallied in the second half to force a tie on Tuesday night.

Grand Haven’s lone goal was scored by Jaden King.
