The Mona Shores boys soccer team cruised to an 8-0 win over Muskegon on Tuesday in an O-K Black Conference game.

Jordan DeKuiper, Ethan Brown and Luis Zambrano each scored two goals for the Sailors while Jacob Gravlin and Camden Deruiter scored one apiece.

Hayden Yaros led in the assists column with three. Camden DeRuiter, Jordan DeKuiper, Ethan Brown and Josh Breen recorded one assist apiece.

Keegan DeKuiper posted the shutout for the Sailors, who improved to 5-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

FREMONT 1, BIG RAPIDS 1 – The Fremont Packers took a trip to Big Rapids for a battle of unbeatens in the CSAA Gold Division.

After a scoreless first half, the scoring got started when Big Rapids’ Jonah Hengesbach found the back of the net.

The Packers answered back with a goal off the head of Braiden McDonald with four minutes to go in the game. Assisting on that play was David Wachter.

Fremont and Big Rapids both ended the game with three shots on goal. Goalkeeper Joe Kortge made two saves for Fremont, which is now 6-3-1 overall and 4-0-1 in division play. Big Rapids is also 4-0-1.

WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 0, ORCHARD VIEW 0 – The Warriors and Cardinals played to a scoreless tie in a key Lakes 8 Conference matchup.

Both teams had great chances to score, but could not convert. WMC goalkeeper Jamison Goorman made several big saves on Cardinal breakaway opportunities.

WMC is now 6-1-3 overall and 2-0-2 in the conference. The Warriors will host a tough Grand Rapids Covenant Christian team on Thursday

Orchard View is now 5-1-1 and 1-1-1 in conference play.

ZION CHRISTIAN 2, FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 1 – Zion Christian scored the first goal in the game and led 1-0 at halftime.

Zion increased its lead to 2-0 in the second half, before the Eagles got on the board with a goal from Ben Zelenka. Ethan Pollock assisted on the tally.

But Calvary could not score the equalizer and lost its first game of the season. The Eagles are now 4-1-1 overall and 0-1 in the Alliance League.
