The Orchard View boys soccer team defeated Manistee 4-0 in Lakes 8 action on Tuesday.

Roger McKenzie led the Cardinals with two goals in the game, while Maverick Carlisle and Logan Woods also added a goal apiece.

The Cardinals are now 5-0 overall on the season.

WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 1, LUDINGTON 1- A stellar performance from Jameson Goorman in goal helped keep the game tight throughout, but the offense wasn’t enough as the Warriors ended the Lakes 8 battle with Ludington in a tie.

The Orioles struck first with a header from Saiah Lynn that was assisted by Nick Patterson as they took an early 1-0 lead into the half.

Brandon Fles tied the game with a goal in the second half that was assisted by Brevin Byrne.

Ludington’s goalkeeper Kyle Wendt stopped 19 shots on goal.

The Warriors moved to 4-1-2 on the season and will face Muskegon Catholic Central on Wednesday night.

REETHS-PUFFER 2, KENOWA HILLS 0- After a scoreless first half, Rockets’ Jaxon Carpenter scored the first goal off an assist from Jackson McKinnon to put the Rockets up 1-0.

Ten minutes later, Carpenter scored an unassisted goal to increase Reeths-Puffer’s lead to a 2-0 margin.

Demario Chapman was solid in goal for the Rockets with seven saves.

The Rockets improved to 6-2-1 on the year and 3-1 in conference play.

FRUITPORT 9, MUSKEGON 1 – The Trojans were led by Logan Manciu and Ryan Laus with three goals apiece. Jayce Thornton, Carter Golden and Bryce Lanore also scored for Fruitport.

Golden also chipped in with three assists on the night while Jaxon Deneen contributed with an assist.

The Trojans improved to 4-4-1 on the season and travel to Kenowa Hills to face the Knights on Thursday.

JENISON 3, MONA SHORES 1- The Wildcats jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the half, and extended the advantage in the second half to 3-0.

Camden Deruiter got the Sailors on the board coming off of an assist by Cooper Sabourin.

The Sailors fell to 4-3 on the year and 3-2 in conference play.

FREMONT 8, LAKEVIEW 0– Carter Moon’s three-goal performance led to a victory for the Packers on Tuesday night.

David Wachter chipped in with three assists for Fremont, while Lane Converse, Grant Vissia, Yunus Roenning, David Wachter and Riccardo Lapertosa all added a goal.

Joe Kortge and Ed Hallberg both split time in the net for the Packers.

Fremont is now 6-2 overall with a 4-0 conference record.

NON-LEAGUE

GRAND HAVEN 2, SPRING LAKE 0 – Jaden King opened the scoring for the Bucs in the second half after a scoreless first stanza. Max Jervosek assisted on the first tally.

Zack Falconer added a goal for Grand Haven.

Grand Haven’s goalkeeper Jack Kurburski left the night with clean sheet.
