The Mona Shores volleyball team defeated Kenowa Hills in three straight sets, winning the match by scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-11.

Brooke LeRoux finished with a team-high 11 kills while Bri Wade followed with nine for the Sailors.

Suriya VanderOord led the Mona Shores defense with 16 digs while Meghan Adams added 10. Grace Norris led the Sailors with 19 assists.

The Sailors improved to 12-11-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play. They host Jenison next Tuesday.

WEST MICHIGAN CONFERENCE

WHITEHALL 3, OAKRIDGE 0– The Vikings won in straight sets with scores of 25-15, 25-14 and 25-18 in West Michigan Conference action on Tuesday.

Leading the Vikings in kills was Rayne Thompson with 15, whike Rileigh Thommen also added 10 and Lauren Carr added six.

Maggie Evans and Jade Mikkelson set up their Whitehall teammates nicely with 20 assists each.

Charlie Baker had a good night with 15 digs and two aces on the night for Whitehall and Camryn Evans had seven digs in the contest.

Whitehall is now 11-11-2 overall with a 5-0 conference record.

MONTAGUE 3, HART 0 – The Wildcats cruised to a West Michigan Conference win by scores of 25-15, 25-14 and 25-17.

Reilly Murphy led the Wildcats with 23 kills while Ally Hall followed with 11.

Raegan Murphy paced Montague with 50 assists and Maddy Wynn led defensively with 21 digs.

The Wildcats, who are, 4-0 in the conference and 20-7 overall, will travel to Jenison on Thursday.

NORTH MUSKEGON 3, RAVENNA 1 – The Norse won the West Michigan Conference match by scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-13 and 25-22 on Tuesday.

Syann Fairfield led North Muskegon with 19 kills while Chandler Falkowski added 11 kills on the night.

Emma Houseman greatly set up her Norse teammates with 38 assists.

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 3, SHELBY 1 – The Spartans bounced back from a first set loss by winning the final three sets. MCC won by scores of 16-25, 28-26, 25-18 and 25-16.

Leading the Spartans was Hailey Jackson with 17 kills. Nyah Tyron followed with 11 kills while Jenna Smith had a team-high 29 assists.

The Spartans will play in the Reed City invite this Saturday.

WEST MICHIGAN D

PENTWATER 3, BIG RAPIDS CROSSROADS 0 – The Falcons won in three straight sets with scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-13.

Terra Cluchey had a great all round night, leading Pentwater with 20 kills, seven aces and 19 digs.

Jhordan Miller-Rowe also added 10 kills and 10 digs for Pentwater, while Mika Hugo had four aces and Mekayla Cornelisse chipped in with two aces and 27 assists.

Pentwater is now 7-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

LAKES 8

LUDINGTON 3, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 0 – The Crusaders fell by service scores of 14-25, 7-25 and 23-25 on Tuesday in Lakes 8 action.

Calvin’Nae Simmons led MCC with eight kills while Erin LaVigne had 10 digs.

The Crusaders are now 7-5 on the season and 0-2 in Lakes 8 play.

ALLIANCE LEAGUE

HOLLAND BLACK RIVER 3, FRUITPORT CALVARY 0 – The Eagles lost by scores of 15-25, 24-26 and 15-25.

Marcie Schreur led the Eagles with seven kills and 13 digs. Bekah Dukes recorded 15 assists while Emmalee Dykman had a block.

The Eagles play host to Wellspring Prep this Saturday.
