The Whitehall volleyball team posted a 1-2 record in a quad-match on Thursday night.

The Vikings defeated Western Michigan Christian by scores of 23-25, 25-23 and 15-11 before losing to Grand Haven (23-25, 16-25) and Hamilton (20-25, 21-25).

Rayne Thompson paced Whitehall with 16 kills, four blocks and 15 digs, while Rileigh Thommen added 10 kills, three aces and three blocks.

The Vikings were led defensively by Charlie Baker with 20 digs and Charley Klint with 12.

Jaden Mikkelson and Maggie Evans chipped in with 18 and 17 assists, respectively, for Whitehall.

The Vikings are now 4-9 overall on the season.

The Warriors dropped all three matches, losing to Grand Haven (18-25, 24-26), Whitehall (25-23, 23-25, 11-15) and Hamilton (25-20, 19-25, 9-15).

Alisha Leffring led the Warriors with 20 kills while Kyla Wiersema followed with eight.

Wiersema and Taylor Folkema each recorded four blocks while Folkema led the team with 11 digs. Chloe Mitchell had a team-high 50 assists on the night for WMC.
