The Kent City football team controlled its contest against Hesperia, winning 42-0 on Friday in a Central State Activities Association Silver division contest.
The Eagles scored nearly half their points during the first quarter and led 20-0 heading into the
second quarter.
Kent City added another score in the score quarter to take a 28-0 lead at halftime.
The Eagle added single touchdowns in both the third and fourth quarter.
Max Hudson led the Eagles with 85 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns to go along with a 55-yard touchdown reception as well.
Kent City totaled six sacks defensively as a team and held the Panthers to 82 yards passing and -36 yards rushing.
Hudson was a key part of the defense with four tackles and three sacks. Also playing a big part on defense for the Eagles was Bradley Brooks with two interceptions.
The leading rusher for the Eagles was Casen Armstrong, who contributed to 95 of their 294 rushing yards. Kent City also had 77 yards through the air, for a total of 371 total yards of offense.
Kent City improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play and will travel to Holton next Friday.
The Panthers dropped to 2-4 with the loss and 2-2 in conference play. They will host their homecoming game against Morley Stanwood next Friday.
