The Kent City football team shut out Holton 55-6 on the road in a CSAA Silver Division matchup on Friday.

The Eagles got off to a quick start, leading 28-0 after the first quarter, and carrying a commanding 41-0 lead into halftime. Kent City scored one touchdown in the third and fourth quarters to finish the game.+

Caden Armstrong led the Kent City offense with 78 yards rushing and one touchdown.

Kent City’s defense was excellent with Jesus Hernandez and Jaden Williams recovering fumbles for touchdowns. Joe Anderson blocked a punt for the Eagles while teammate Dolan Baer ran it into the end zone for a touchdown. The Eagles only allowed Holton 70 yards of offense.

Kent City improved to 5-2 overall. Holton fell to 1-6.
