The Ludington soccer team continued its postseason mastery with a 1-0 victory over Shelby on Wednesday in the Division 3 district championship game at Manistee High School.
Matthew Snyder scored the lone goal for the Orioles, with an assist from Brayden Porter. Ludington outshot the Tigers 16-3.
The Orioles, 11-9-3 on the season, have now won three district titles in a row and six out of the last seven. They advanced all the way to the state finals in 2017 and the state semifinals last year.
Shelby finished the season with a 14-10-1 record.
If the refs would have called the offsides on the goal and Ludington pulling our team back from scoring a goal by grabbing our teams shirts it may have been a different outcome.
